Dubai

Dubai. A most modern Arabian city with a goal of having the "biggest of" in every possible category. Biggest mall, biggest hotel, biggest aquarium, biggest airport, biggest building, you get the idea.  With only 20% of indigenous population, the world has come to this most famous of the United Arab Emirates.

During our brief visit, Bob and I got to visit the Burj Khalifa. At 2716 feet (828 meters), the towering building can be seen from 60 miles (95 km) away.  The trip was complete with a quick ride to the 124th floor's "At The Top" observation deck.  It is situated right at the Dubai Mall, which is not only the world's largest, but is also the most beautiful I've ever been to.  Can't wait to return!
